Overview

Chapter Coffee Roastery & Cafe, nestled along Maginhawa Street in Diliman, Quezon City, offers a refreshing retreat for coffee enthusiasts seeking quality and character in every cup. This coffee roastery stands out not only for its carefully curated brews but also for its warm, accommodating service—attributes frequently noted by visitors like Kiahana Pascual, who praised both the coffee and the friendly staff.

The cafe’s main attraction lies in its diverse coffee offerings, where patrons can choose their preferred beans, giving each drink a personalized touch. Glenn Gerard Agoo highlights the richness of their hot Spanish latte, describing it as smooth and light, absent of the typical acidic bite found in many coffees. This attention to flavor balance makes Chapter Coffee a preferred alternative to mainstream cafes.

Beyond coffee, the cafe serves a variety of dishes that complement the drink selection. The Ube Ensaymada emerges as a crowd favorite, blending melted cheese, buttery bread, and ube crumbs into a harmonious treat. Savory options like beef tapa also receive praise for their taste and quality, enhancing the overall dining experience, though some, like the bangus meal, may feel less generous in portion.

The space itself fosters a clean and aesthetic environment, suitable for work and study, according to Danielle Karol Reyes. The ambiance is inviting, though occasional cooking aromas occasionally permeate the area, a minor drawback in an otherwise pleasant setting. For visitors concerned about parking, Chapter Coffee offers convenient access, allowing a hassle-free visit.

With its location in a vibrant neighborhood known for food and culture, Chapter Coffee Roastery & Cafe appeals to a broad audience—from casual coffee drinkers and food lovers to students and professionals seeking a cozy spot to unwind or focus. The combination of thoughtfully roasted coffee, well-prepared dishes, and friendly service makes this cafe a noteworthy chapter on Maginhawa’s coffee map.

I'm on my way to a different coffee shop in Maginhawa, but then I saw Chapter, so I gave it a try. Overall, I prefer their coffee more than mainstream cafes', and it might even be the best one I drank. I ordered their hot spanish latte. It did have the exact taste of a spanish latte but the mouthfeel and acidity is what surprised me. It was smooth, light, and it doesn't leave a strong acidic taste and feels in my mouth. Their Ube Ensaymada was also great. Melted cheese, buttery bread, and those ube crumbs was a perfect combination. Lastly, the ambiance was good too. Clean, and aesthetic. The other customers were just very loud, but it's out of their control I guess. I don't know if I'm being biased because it's been so long since I drank coffee. With that, I'd like to go back in a few days to confirm this, and try their other dishes too.

It was my first time visiting Chapter Coffee, where I tried their beef tapa and cappuccino. Both were really good, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The bangus meal, however, felt a bit underwhelming as the serving size of the fish seemed small for the price.

Great coffee and ambiance. Definitely good for work and study. Ordered spanish latte, salted caramel latte and grilled cheese. They let you choose the beans for your coffee which is a good thing. Coffee is perfect, not too strong and not too sweet like most of the cafes nowadays. The only downside is you’ll smell like food when you dine in. The kitchen has a door but they have a small window that could have a door also so the cooking smell won’t affect the entire cafe. The smell of oil is bothersome. But overall, would recommend and would come back.

Good coffee is synonymous with Chapter! They are actually aware of this because their tag line brags "finally good coffee!" All their coffee is good... schedule some time to try them all. The horchata is out of this world! Personally, I prefer the one without the cinnamon. Their grilled cheese sandwich is my favorite food here. It's wonderful to see them thriving after all these years. The only 2 issues I have are that the mezzanine section is closed most of the time & that there is an afternoon sun glare. Overall Chapter is a must visit cafe for the coffee head. 98 out of 100
